Abalone shell pendant with sterling cap setting. On a recent trip to visit my family in South Africa I was able to do some beach combing and look for sea glass. I've been to these set of beaches in Cape Town before and found pieces of abalone that have been well weathered by the waves there, so I kept my eye out for these bits of gorgeous abalone.
This pendant is reversible, so make sure you see all the photos as each one has its own specific colors. The sterling silver setting was created to fit each piece specifically and I used all my silversmithing skills for this. This pendant measures 1 3/4 inches (4cm) in length and comes with a sterling silver 18 inch (45cm) chain, but please message me if you would prefer it on a 16 inch (40cm) chain. Alternatively, if you would prefer a longer chain, this is an option, but would be an additional $10.
There is only one of these specific pendants due to abalone's unique coloring, please make sure you check all the listings to see all of the ones that are availble. One of the photos will show the others that have been listed at the same time as this one.
The pendant will come gift packaged in one of my jewelry boxes and will be tied with an organza ribbon.
