This pair of silver alder leaf earrings was created with a specialized technique using silver precious metal clay (PMC) paste on real leaves from an alder leaf in the nearby forest. Both leaves are from the same tree even though the leaves appear to be slightly different from each other. Each earring has a sterling silver ear wire that gives the earring a hanging length of 1 1/4 inches (3.2cm). Each earring has been oxidized so that the detailing of the leaf veins has been highlighted.
