The image of these studs remind me of a delicate snowflake. They were in fact created with a mold of a poppyseed head and then cast in fine silver. I use something called precious metal clay, or PMC, to do this. The clay is allowed to dry, is fired, polished, soldered to the stud backing and then given an oxidising patina to highlight the incredible detail of the poppy head or snowflake shape.
 
The studs are soldered to a sterling stud which has also has a sterling ear backing. Each stud is 1/3 of an inch or 9mm in diameter.
 
This item can be ordered in multiples, but please allow 2 - 3 weeks for your studs to be made and there may be subtle variations between pairs of earrings due to the fact that each one is hand made.
 
These studs will be tastefully gift packaged in a box and tied with an organza ribbon.
