I created these earrings using precious metal clay and a specially created silicone mold from a real maple seed early in the spring time from a tree in our near by forest.  The clay was then fired at a high temperature and is now pure silver. A patina was added to create depth to the patterns of the maple seed, picking up the subtle veins on the wing of the seed. The earwires are a modern drop and are made out of sterling silver wire. These earrings are perfect for someone who loves forests, nature and gardening.
