Broken china drop earrings with sections of images from a Gustav Klimt painting. The earwires are handmade sterling silver with a 9 carat gold hammered dot as part of the earwire. The gold brings out the gold in the Gustav Klimt design. These earrings pieces of china also had a design on the back so I created an open setting and made the earwires specifically so that you can change the front of the earrings by reversing them on the earwire. The backs of both of them have a lot more gold on the china design. There is one one pair of this unique pair of earrings.
 
I love creating things out of items that no one thinks are beautiful anymore because they are broken or damaged in some way. The china from this pair of earrings was given to me after I had created a pendant for her Mom from a broken mug that had been gifted to her after she had gone to an art museum and seen the painting. The result is these upcycled china earrings.
 
There is only one of these pairs of earrings due to the way the china was broken and rounded out in the grinding process. 
 
 Their hanging length 1 1/2 inches or 4 cm. 
 
This pair of earrings will be tastefully gift wrapped in a box with a ribbon.
