The china from this broken china ring features a crisp forget-me-not flowers image. All of the china that I use in my broken china jewelry range was damaged in some way before I upcycled it into jewelry like this beautiful ring.
I found the china used in this ring at a thrift shop a few years ago and it was perfect for me to upcycle into jewelry as it had a small chip on the lip of the saucer. Giving new life to something that used to be loved is one of my favorite things to do. I am also hoping it will be loved in its new form of art jewelry.
The ring is made entirely of sterling silver components and the process involved creating a custom setting after I had cut and shaped the china with special tools. Each stage of silver smithing involves lots of tools, various skills and a bit of an eye for design.
This ring has a hammered shank that catches the light beautifully and it measures 7 1/2 (US sizing). It is possible for it to be stretched up to size 8 so if you would like me to do this please let me know your specific size on the notes section of the order page.
This ring will be gift wrapped in a jewelry box and tied with an organza ribbon.
